The Theo Ratliff Foundation has partnered with Operation Hope, the leading global financial dignity nonprofit, to offer public and private primary education institutions a highly valued financial literacy program: Banking On Our Future (BOOF).


The Banking On Our Future program provides a global delivery system for financial dignity education for youth ages 9-18 at no-cost to school districts and community-based organizations in low-moderate income communities across the nation.

Banking on Our Future (BOOF) elevates the dignity, hope, and economic self-sufficiency of people in low-wealth and underserved communities through financial literacy. Since its inception, the Banking on Our Future Program has reached over 725,000 students in more than 700 schools and community-based organizations in the U.S. and South Africa.

Banking on Our Future classes are free of charge for schools and communities. The Theo Ratliff Foundation coordinates program volunteers throughout local, public and private school communities to provide training in financial literacy and teaching techniques through Operation Hope. Our BOOF students are given the tools they need to take control of their financial futures – by learning about empowerment, responsibility, and hope.

The Theo Ratliff Foundation will the BOOF program in partnership with BEST (Business, Engineering, Science & Technology) Academy, an Atlanta, Georgia-based whose Mission is to provide a rigorous single gender education with B.E.S.T. (Business, Engineering, Science, and Technology) practices that empowers students to learn at their highest potential. We are sincerely honored to play such a significant role in the development of our future leaders, as such we have taken on the task of marshaling Atlanta’s business leaders to assist with executing the well-developed curriculum.

Our resource and financial investments in the Operation Hope program, through BEST Academy throughout Q4 2013 and Q1 2014, will serve as a hallmark of the significant positive influence we seek to effect in all programs offered.
